The newly refurbished judge's library is a cosy cottage with a modern feel; ideally situated to enjoy historic Carmarthen (Wales oldest town), and we are just inside the old town wall; with thick stone walls and bedrooms at the rear the cottage can be a quiet retreat, yet its only a few hundred yards from cafe culture and shops, and close to the cinema and theatre. Carmarthen is the gateway town to rural and coastal West Wales, and well served by buses and trains that run to the main seaside resorts and other main attractions. there are plenty of places to go on day trips.

For the adventurous the Wales coastal path  is across the road at the bottom of the street, running alongside the River Towy. Being inside the historic district there is no private parking, but plenty of public parking close by in the Castle and at the train and bus stations. For an Eco holiday why not ditch the car, arrive by train and make the most of this accessible location.

There is enough to satisfy all the senses here, and we hope you will also enjoy the original artwork and handcrafted features, and there is excellent internet and 4K Smart TV.

Wonderful stay

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Judges Library for work purposes. It was an on / off stint of six weeks in total, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. This home as all the cosy / hygge vibes of any countryside cottage, but located in an ideal place in a quiet street just off the town centre. It had everything I needed, and all facilities worked perfectly. The house was spotless and Jackie & Lindsay’s communication was great throughout my stay, making sure I had everything I needed. Would definitely reccomend & return - for business purposes or to just enjoy! Diolch o galon

Great place to stay, right in the centre of Carmarthen

This is a great place to stay, right in the centre of Carmarthen with plenty of shops and cafes a few steps away and transport (bus/train) to get to some amazing beaches and castles nearby. The cottage is lovely and has absolutely everything you may need. We were very lucky with the weather, but had it rained, we would have happily hung out inside watching Netflix & drinking cups of tea.

Lovely, cosy place to stay in Carmarthen

Lovely, cosy place to stay in Carmarthen. Complete with smart TV, 3 bedrooms and an incredible bathroom - a very central base for exploring Gower, West Wales, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Be sure to ask ahead about places to park as there is seldom parking available on the same street, but plenty of places a short distance away. Very near Carmarthen train station on the main line too.
